Well, on Sunday we went to church. It was an AOG church and about 30 mins away. Everyone was very friendly and there were a few foreigners. Well, I say foreigners, but two of them have settled in japan and married locals. The other family has been here for quite a while but are leaving sometime this year. I felt a bit lonely at first as it was difficult communicating with the japanese but they were very welcomming. We recognised a couple of the songs and they did sing them in English once or twice and there was translation of the sermon. The gist of the sermon was that God is with us, and we should not lean on our own strength. The text was from Psa 46:7 - 'The Lord of Hosts is with us, the God of Jacob is our refuge', which was just what we needed to hear! I guess we will probably end up staying there.
After church we drove around town and S pointed out places of interest. Then we went for lunch near the marina. There are 2 ferris wheels there and they were giving free rides that day cos of the new year! So ok la, why not go and have a look.

This was not the one that we rode on, ours was a bit smaller, but it looks the same la.

Looking at birds.

Monday was a long day for C, his first day at office, meeting all the staff, then a dinner with clients later.
I spent the day at the suite, packing to move to a hotel for the rest of the week. As you can see, Little Miss was ever helpful.
