Moved In

Well....as you may have guessed from the lack of postings compared to last week, we have moved in to our apartment and our boxes arrived. Finally today the place is in some sort of order. Everything is put away except for the books, waiting for C to make a decision about where to put the bookcase. I'll describe more about our apartment (with photos, of course) another day. Let me just go over the events of the weekend.

On Sat C woke up at about 430am (!!!!) to drive around and get used to the roads before sending his boss off to the airport. Then he came back for us and we went off to the airport again to send off S and family. However, by the time we arrived, they had gone into the departure lounge! Anyway, back to the hotel, packed up and moved our mountain of barang-barang (which could hardly fit in the car) back to our new place.

That night the fun began. Little Miss was coughing and as a result threw up 3 or 4 times. So we were changing clothes and bed sheets until almost 11pm. Finally, finally she went to sleep and though she woke up coughing a few times we had no more pukes.

The next day we knew we had to get her some meds one way or another. I hadn't brought any because we had been cautioned about bringing too much meds into the country with us. But the pharmacy nearby us didn't have any English speaking staff. So I called Mum to ask her to courier some over. However, she said that since there isn't a FedEx in AS, the courier service will have to send it to KL first so it would prob take at least 3 days. No good. So we went down to the front desk and managed to find the one person who was fluent in English and got him to write down on a piece of paper what we needed. Then off to the pharmacy. We got something, no idea what, but it seems to work, thank God!
