Omiyagi

C came home yesterday with an omiyagi or gift or buah tangan that some travel agent had given to him. What do you think it could be? I guessed it was food of some sort...

Such nice packaging as usual.

Can you guess?

It was 20 eggs! What??? That I totally did not expect. I mean, you give eggs as a gift???? Even if they are some famous really good eggs (how good can an egg get?). Well, this is Japan, folks!

ya, i guess they are a 'useful' gift. haven't tried them yet as i still had eggs in the fridge.
they look yummy? actually most eggs in japan look a bit scary to me.. the yolks are so orange - too orange! like not real like that. so if you beat the eggs and cook scrambled eggs the whole thing looks orange!

Extraordinary gift!
What is it suppose to symbolise? My cheeky guess is with inflation exploding worldwide, the giver reckons this is a precious and expensive gift :-)
