Conversations in our house:
"Emma, don't cry, Sophie's here." starts to sing to her - the one line of the song People in our neighbourhood, from Sesame Street.
"Emma, don't scratch your face," says the girl who has been scratching a scab on her face for days so it doesn't heal.
"Emma, don't put your fingers in your mouth," says the girl who always puts her fingers in her mouth.
I asked Sophie, "Did Papa change your nappy?"
"Yes, my nappy is there, sitting on a chair." Points to the nappy on her bottom where she is sitting on a chair.
